The regional area where we are concentrating our efforts is
broadly defined as North Central Texas an area about the size of
Kentucky. However, since we have
combined the forces of the two local urban forestry councils to
accomplish this task, the region will more accurately be described
as a combination of both council's regions.
WEST: The Cross Timbers Urban Forestry Council (CTUFC) -
Our Western Region: Archer,
Clay, Cooke, Denton, Erath, Hood, Jack, Johnson, Montague, Palo
Pinto, Parker Somerville, Stevens, Tarrant, Wichita, Wise and
Young counties in North Central Texas. Bounded by a natural
geophysical region with unique geology, geography, flora and fauna.

EAST: The Trinity Blacklands Urban
Forestry Council (TBUFC) -
Our Eastern Region: Collin,
Dallas, Ellis, Fannin, Grayson, Hunt, Kaufman and Rockwall
counties in North Central Texas. Bounded by a natural geophysical
region with unique geology, geography, flora and fauna.
